**Interview with Mishi Khan on Her Response to Dr. Zakir Naik’s Comments**
**Interviewer:** Mishi, thank you for joining us today. Recently, you made headlines by responding to Dr. Zakir Naik’s comments about women and Pakistan International Airlines. Could you share what prompted you to address these issues publicly?
**Mishi Khan:** Thank you for having me. I felt it was important to speak out because Dr. Zakir Naik’s comments were not only derogatory towards women but also disrespectful towards Pakistan. As a proud Pakistani and a woman, I cannot stand by when someone belittles my country and my gender. It’s about standing up for our values and dignity.
**Interviewer:** In your social media video, you expressed strong emotions regarding this topic. What specific remarks from Dr. Naik did you find most problematic?
**Mishi Khan:** Dr. Naik made comments that implied women in our society are not respected and portrayed Pakistan in a negative light. His comments about Qatar Airways compared to PIA were not just an attack on our airline, but also on the hardworking people behind it. I believe that every country has its strengths and weaknesses, and I wanted to remind people that despite challenges, we have so much to be proud of.
**Interviewer:** How do you feel your intervention might impact the ongoing dialogue on women’s rights and national pride in Pakistan?
**Mishi Khan:** I hope it encourages more open dialogues about respect for women and reinforces the notion that we should uplift our country rather than tear it down. It’s crucial for influential figures to recognize the power of their words. If my response can inspire even a few people to stand up for their rights and the integrity of our nation, then I consider that a success.
**Interviewer:** What’s your message to those who might disagree with your views or support Dr. Naik?
**Mishi Khan:** I welcome healthy debates and discussions. It’s important to hear differing perspectives. However, I encourage everyone to critically assess the impact of the narratives we promote. We can disagree without being disrespectful, and I hope that we can all work towards building a more respectful society, where both women and our national identity are valued.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Mishi, for sharing your thoughts. It’s vital to have voices like yours in the conversation.
**Mishi Khan:** Thank you for having me! Let’s keep the dialogue going.
