WORLD.- The surfer Italian Giulia Manfrinivery popular on social networks, died on Friday after being attacked by a needlefish while surfing in Indonesia.
Giulia Manfrini36, was in the waters of Pulau Masokut island, near Sumatra, when a needlefish stuck in his chest and left a 5-centimeter wound.
Local Indonesian media reported the accident this Saturday thanks to the testimony of Lahmudin Siregar, acting head of the Mentawai Islands Regional Disaster Management Agency.
According to the reconstruction, the Italian was able to ask two men for help and she was rushed to the nearest medical center, where she was treated without success.
