Shot, like in a film, in the DHL headquarters in Monticelli d’Ongina, in the province of Piacenza. A gang of thieves, made up of at least 10 individuals, broke into the company square with weapons. Other accomplices prevented the arrival of the police, parking stolen cars and vans sideways along all the access roads to the area. Then they set fire to the vehicles and strewn the streets with three-pointed nails. According to initial investigations, the thieves took away loot worth at least one million euros.
Threatening the two security guards with guns, the robbers took the material (tablets, smartphones, laptops), filled the van and fled towards Cremona, via the motorway. To find them, the Piacenza carabinieri are also coordinating with colleagues from neighboring provinces. An inventory is underway to quantify the extent of the theft.
