Indonesian men’s DOUBLES Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan/Rahmat Hidayat completed the host title at the Indonesia Masters II Super 100-2024 tournament in Surabaya, Sunday (3/11).
Yere/Rahmat confirmed the title after winning over their compatriots, Raymond Indra/Patra Harapan Rindorindo with a score of 23-21, 21-18 in the final.
“In this match we were a bit nervous facing fellow countrymen who already know our strengths and weaknesses. “In this match we were able to get out of the opponent’s pressure and achieve victory,” said Rahmat, quoted from PP PBSI’s official statement.

“We have difficulty responding to our opponents’ games because we have often trained together at the Cipayung National Training Center. So we already know their weaknesses and strengths to ensure victory in this match,” he added.
The title in Surabaya made Yere/Rahmat forget the bad results at the Indonesia Masters II Super 100-2024 in Pekanbaru where they came out as runner-up.
“We definitely feel happy because yesterday in Pekanbaru we failed to win the title. Winning the title in this tournament is a stepping stone for us to achieve even better results in the future,” said
Jeremiah.

This result makes Yere/Rahmat continue their positive trend in the City of Heroes. Last week at the Indonesia International Challenge 2024, they also climbed to the highest podium after defeating Taiwanese representative Lu
Ching Yao/Wu Guan Xun with a tight score of 23-21, 23-21.
“On a scale of 1 to 10, our level of cohesiveness so far is at eight or nine. In terms of performance, we are much more unified,” said Yere.
“Right now we just have to prepare ourselves for next year when we appear in the Thailand Masters and Indonesia Masters tournaments at the BWF Super 300 and BWF Super 500 levels,” he added.
With this result, the hosts collected four titles from the Indonesia Masters II Super 100-2024 tournament in Surabaya.
Apart from Yere/Rahmat, the host’s vice champion title was won by Alwi Farhan (men’s singles), Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya (women’s singles), and Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah (mixed doubles). (Ant/P-3)
