Elections will not be delayed due to border situation: Caretaker Prime Minister

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq has said that the caretaker government will not bring forward any justification for postponing the elections. Elections will not be delayed due to law and order, border situation. The electoral process is the mandate of the Election Commission.

During one of his interviews, the caretaker prime minister said that Pakistan is definitely facing threats on the western and eastern fronts. I am sure that border threats will also be controlled at the same time.

The Caretaker Prime Minister said that increasing security threats on the eastern and western borders have increased the need for an effective response. Border situation will not affect the conduct of elections.

He also said that the government’s job is to support the Election Commission for the elections, for which they are fully prepared. It is not the duty of the caretaker government to end speculations related to elections, it is constitutionally the duty of the Election Commission to conduct elections.

The Caretaker Prime Minister said that the impression that PTI Chairman is being kept out of politics through legal cases is not correct. Judicial process will be transparent in the cases against Chairman PTI.

Talking about the tense situation on the western border, the caretaker prime minister said that in the Doha peace agreement, the Taliban had assured the world that their land would not be used for terrorism against anyone else.

Anwar-ul-Haq, Pakistan has the right to defend itself and will take action wherever it deems necessary to defend its people and land, and will take decisions according to the threat that will emerge. Action will show what we want to do and what we can do.
