AFTER releasing the single Don’t Lupa Pulang, in early October 2024, the legendary band Potret released an album entitled Potret Live at Aquarius Studio under the auspices of the Aquarius Musikindo label.
The Live at Aquarius Studio program features live performances from Indonesian musicians with arrangements that are unique and different from the original version.
This time it was Potret’s turn to present nine of their hit songs such as Salah, Diam, Maybe, Mak Comblang, Terbujuk, I Just Wanna Say ILU, Like Langit, Not Surely, Bunda and of course their newest song, Don’t Forget to Go Home.

Potret, whose members are Melly Goeslaw, Anto Hoed, Aksan Sjuman, Nikita Dompas, and Mery Kasiman, seemed to really enjoy the ambiance created when their ten songs were played, recorded live and organically in the studio.
The band, which has accompanied Indonesian music for 30 years, said that they gave a new touch to the concept of musical arrangements played for Live at Aquarius Studio.
“The overall composition of the arrangement is woodwind, specifically a quartet sound, but the instrumentation we use is unusual. “We use violin, cello, clarinet, flute and saxophone, but no bassoon and oboe,” said Potret in an official statement.

Furthermore, Potret revealed that the opportunity to perform at Live at Aquarius Studio gave them the freedom to make arrangements to produce music that was creative and different from Potret’s previous music.
It is recorded that throughout their career, Potret has recorded five studio albums (POTRET, PORTRAIT II, Café, positive+POSITIVE, I Just Wanna Say ILU); two compilation albums (From Dawn to Beyond: The Best of PORTRAIT, The Very Best of PORTRAIT #1996-2008 (Remastered 2023), one EP (Nana Nana) and four singles (Posesif, Friendzone No More, Argantara (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Don’t Forget to Go Home (Live at Aquarius Studio) for Indonesian music fans.
Potret hopes that the album Potret Live at Aquarius Studio will be well received by listeners, and can provide a ‘nostalgic feeling’ that is different from the music they usually present. (Z-1)
