Harris and Trump close campaign! The former president Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris chose the same two states to hold campaign rallies in the final days before the election: Pennsylvania and Michigan, key regions for either of them to win next week.
On Sunday night, November 3, Harris will visit East Lansign in Michigan, in what would be his last visit to the state. On Monday the 4th, the day will begin with a rally in Allenstown, a majority Latino city in Pennsylvania, then it will pass through Pittsburgh – in the east of the state, on the border with Ohio – and will culminate the day with a closing event in Philadelphia, the most populated city.
Trump will spend Sunday and much of Monday in Pennsylvania, with events in Reading and Pittsburgh, and then finish on the night of the day before the elections in Grand Rapids (Michigan), where he already closed his presidential campaign in 2016 and 2020.
Harris y Trump
Both states are considered part of the “blue wall”, states that traditionally supported Democrats, but that in 2016 broke the streak and opted for Trump’s political project.
The former president bet heavily in 2016 on all three (closing the campaign in Michigan), appealed to the rural vote and the white working class disillusioned by the closure of industries and won them by a ridiculous combined margin of 80,000 votes.
The latest polls indicate a tie between both candidates in Pennsylvania and give Harris a minimal advantage over Trump in Michigan, according to the FiveThirtyEight portal.
Of the three, Pennsylvania is the crown jewel. It distributes 19 electoral votes and it is considered that the party that wins it will have a paved path to the White House. Michigan awards 15 and Wisconsin 10.
To become president, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 270 Electoral College votes.

**Interview with Political Analyst Sarah Thompson on Final Campaign Strategies of Harris and Trump**
**Interviewer:** Welcome, Sarah! With just days left until the election, we see Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump focusing their last campaign efforts in the same states—Pennsylvania and Michigan. Why do you think these states are so crucial for both candidates?
**Sarah Thompson:** Thank you for having me! Pennsylvania and Michigan are pivotal battleground states that can significantly influence the overall election outcome. For both candidates, securing these states can provide them with vital electoral votes and a strong show of support, especially given their mixed demographics and historical voting trends.
**Interviewer:** Absolutely. Harris is scheduled to campaign aggressively in Pennsylvania, hitting major cities like Allenstown and Pittsburgh. What impact do you think this strategy will have, especially in a majority Latino city?
**Sarah Thompson:** Harris’s focus on Latino communities in places like Allenstown is a smart move, as engaging with these voters can help turn out a demographic that has historically been underrepresented in elections. It signifies her commitment to diversity and aims to rally support in crucial urban areas where turnout may be decisive.
**Interviewer:** On the flip side, Trump will be concluding his campaign in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he previously held rallies for his past campaigns. Why do you think he’s returning to this location?
**Sarah Thompson:** Trump has a strong connection with Grand Rapids, and it’s a strategic choice considering it’s a Republican stronghold in Michigan. By returning there, he reinforces his established base and hopes to energize his supporters ahead of the election. It’s also reminiscent of previous successful campaigns, which can evoke a sense of nostalgia and loyalty.
**Interviewer:** Both candidates are racing against the clock. How do you see their differing campaign styles influencing voter sentiment in these final moments?
**Sarah Thompson:** Harris tends to focus on policy and inclusivity, aiming to engage voters with a vision for the future. In contrast, Trump’s style is often more about rallying and energizing his base through strong emotional appeals. These contrasting approaches will resonate differently with voters, and ultimately, it will depend on which message resonates more with undecided voters in these states.
**Interviewer:** As we anticipate the election day, what key factors should voters consider when heading to the polls?
**Sarah Thompson:** Voters should assess the candidates’ policies, their past performances, and how each candidate’s vision aligns with their values and needs. Moreover, local issues that matter to their communities—like healthcare, jobs, and education—should also play a critical role in their decision-making.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Sarah, for your insights! It’s definitely going to be an exciting finish to the campaign season.
**Sarah Thompson:** My pleasure! Let’s all anticipate a robust turnout and see how these critical states swing.
