I can’t log in to Amazon! I changed my mobile number for two-step verification when logging in, so I can’t receive SMS. Furthermore, the login is for Amazon.com, an American company, so I can’t understand it in English. I solved it, so I’ll share the method. I really appreciate Amazon’s customer support because it’s very friendly.
What are the situations where two-step authentication is not possible on Amazon?

I had created an account on Amazon.com and had assigned the mobile number I had at the time to two-factor authentication.
Since I rarely used Amazon in the US, I forgot that I had set up two-factor authentication and canceled my mobile number.

Change your phone number for two-step verification
Now you can finally change your two-factor authentication settings. Give your new cell phone number to the other person in English. “Zero, nine, zero…” This is also broken English.
I did not receive the authentication SMS! say +81
Once you provide your new mobile number, you will receive an SMS for verification. It just doesn’t arrive! Because it’s an international call, you have to give the country code.
Therefore, in the case of Japan, add “+81”. So, I changed it to “plus, eight, one, nine, zero…”. When the country code “+81” is added, the leading zero is not necessary, and if it is 090-, it will be 90-.

Support will change you to a new number.
The customer support staff will then manually change the settings for my account, including a new mobile number and two-factor authentication number.
You will be asked to “try logging in,” so when you proceed with logging in… your new number will appear on the two-factor authentication input screen!
You can now log in successfully. Then, check that the “Primary mobile number” in “Login & Security” on My Page is the new mobile number.
