The Venezuelan Eduardo Saragó resigned this Wednesday from his position as coach of Deportivo Táchira, two years after having assumed the club’s bench and at a time when the team is in first place in group A in the final phase of the Tournament Closing of the FUTVE League, First Division of Venezuelan professional soccer, reported the institution’s board of directors.

“He subsequently formalized it in writing before the president of the institution,” he added without offering further details about this decision.
“Surprised by this decision, it has been accepted and we understand that the contractual link that united both parties has ended,” said the Aurinegros board of directors.
Gratitude
Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to the professor for his “commitment and the enthusiasm he showed in front of the technical bench, providing moments of joy to the fans.”
So far, Saragó has not made public statements about the resignation.
Last week, the coach thanked the players, the coaching staff, the leadership, all the club’s departments, as well as the fans, for having qualified for the final phase of the FUTVE League.

The Aurinegros achieved their tenth title in the 2023 Season of the Venezuelan League, after beating Caracas in a penalty shootout.
