13 years ago in Tamil Nadu, a 2-year-old innocent girl Kavita suddenly disappeared from outside her house, the girl’s parents are still searching for their missing daughter.
To find the girl, the police have created a picture of 14-year-old Kavita with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).
The girl’s parents said that their 2-year-old daughter suddenly went missing on September 19, 2011 around 5 pm while playing near their house, since then they have been searching for her daughter continuously.
The police were also informed about the girl’s disappearance but they were shocked when the police told them that the case was closed in 2022.
The girl’s father, who works in a cooperative bank, has filed a case against the police’s decision in the Siddapet Court, Chennai.
After the court order, the authorities got the help of technology to find the girl.
The girl’s father said that he had only two photographs of the girl and both of them were old photographs taken during the wedding ceremony and Kavita would have been only one or two years old at that time.
Officials have created the picture of the missing girl thirteen years ago with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
According to the police, the two-year-old girl might look something like this now.
Seeing this picture created by AI technology, 15-year-old Kavita’s parents could not control their emotions and cried uncontrollably.
The parents now feel that the AI-assisted photo has increased their chances of finding their daughter.

**Interview with Dr. Anjali Kumar, Child Welfare Expert**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Dr. Kumar. We are discussing the heartbreaking case of Kavita, a young girl who disappeared in Tamil Nadu 13 years ago. Could you share your thoughts on the emotional toll this has taken on her family?
**Dr. Kumar:** Absolutely. The anguish of losing a child is unimaginable, and for Kavita’s parents, this loss has been a daily struggle for over a decade. They hold on to hope, searching for answers, which can be both exhausting and emotionally draining. Every year that passes without finding Kavita deepens their grief but also strengthens their resolve to continue searching.
**Editor:** It’s incredibly moving. The police have now utilized artificial intelligence to create an age-progressed image of what Kavita might look like at 14. How significant is this advancement in their search efforts?
**Dr. Kumar:** The use of AI in this context is a remarkable advancement. It allows law enforcement to have a visual representation that could help jog the memories of potential witnesses. As children grow, their features change, and an age-progressed image provides a better chance for recognition. This technology gives the family and community renewed hope in their efforts to find Kavita.
**Editor:** Indeed, it does. As we see a rise in missing person cases, what steps can be taken to enhance the safety of children in communities like Kavita’s?
**Dr. Kumar:** Community awareness is key. Parents and caregivers need to educate children about safety measures, but we also need systemic changes, such as improved surveillance, better pubic reporting systems, and community engagement programs. It’s essential for local authorities to work closely with families to create a supportive environment that prioritizes child safety.
**Editor:** Those are practical steps. Lastly, how can the community assist in the search for Kavita or other missing children?
**Dr. Kumar:** Community vigilance is crucial. People can share information, distribute flyers of missing children, and leverage social media to raise awareness. If they see anything suspicious or have any information, it’s vital that they contact law enforcement immediately. Every small action can lead to pivotal moments in finding missing children.
**Editor:** Thank you, Dr. Kumar, for sharing your insights on this deeply concerning issue. We hope for the best for Kavita’s family and any other families facing similar situations.
**Dr. Kumar:** Thank you for highlighting this important topic. The hope remains, and we must continue to support these families in their search.
