More than half a hundred companies were submitted to the competition

The Läänemaa Foundation is organizing the county’s entrepreneurship contest for the fifth time, and until the end of next week, the public vote to determine the best product or service will also last. According to Marelle Saare, business consultant of SA Läänemaa, 52 candidates were submitted to the competition this year. The most, a dozen, are candidates in the Läänemaa product or service of the year category. “By nature, they are very different – there are food products, but there are also large developments. Maybe it makes the election more complicated on the one hand, but more interesting on the other,” said Saar. There are also many candidates in the Läänemaa locomotive category.

Times change, so does the time of souls

“Candy or bomb!” sounded steadily gaining momentum halloweenOn i-evening last year, behind the door of a private house in Nõmme. The old lady Helga, who lives alone, has turned off the street lights in the rooms for the whole evening just in case. “If this yard gate were still locked… but it’s not, they forcefully force their way in,” he regrets. “I don’t like the ‘candy or bomb’ thing. They can’t talk or do anything else, that’s why I don’t expect them.”

Aivar Sõerd: I am more and more interested in music

Riigikogu member and former finance minister Aivar Sõerd divides himself between music and politics. He says that the older he gets, the more interested he is in music. On Tuesday, at the presentation of the sound record played on the church organ in Kullamaa, Sõerd’s teacher, organist Andres Uibo, said that Sõerd is on the same page as former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, who has played part of the album’s piano music. According to Uibo, there are no politicians who have recorded more classical music.
