MINISTER of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait invited large entrepreneurs who have become conglomerates to participate in working together to make the 3 million house development program in Indonesia a success. There is support from conglomerates to stimulate the economy through the construction of livable houses.
“I have invited partners (conglomerates) to join in working together to build houses for the people,” said Maruarar in an official statement, Wednesday (30/10).
The PKP Minister explained that a number of partners invited included entrepreneurs who had experience in building housing or property for the community, such as the Agung Sedayu Group, Sinarmas Land and other entrepreneurs. They also participated in the construction of the Nusantara Hotel in the Archipelago Capital (IKN).

“Yesterday they also built the Nusantara Hotel at IKN. There is also Mr Aguan from Agung Sedayu, Mr Prayogo from Barito, Mr Boy Tohir from Adaro, and Frankie from Sinarmas. “They are ready to work together in the 3 million houses program,” he said.
Apart from the four entrepreneurs above, the PKP Minister said that his party had received good news from the Harum Energy Group which stated that it was ready to help build people’s homes.
“I also received a call from Mr. Lawrence Barki (President Commissioner) from the Harum Energy Group. He said he was also ready to help,” he said.
In the future, he added, the PKP Ministry he leads will open the widest possible opportunities for anyone who wants to actively participate in President Prabowo Subianto’s program, namely 3 million tumah for the people. According to him, with a limited budget and an ambitious development target of building millions of houses a year, he and the staff at the PKP Ministry have to continue to innovate in realizing that target.
“We invite all parties, including entrepreneurs, ministries/institutions and the wider community, to work together to build houses for the people,” he concluded. (Z-9)

**Interview with Minister Maruarar Sirait on Indonesia’s 3 Million Housing Development Program**
**Editor:** Today, we’re joined by Indonesia’s Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait. Thank you for being here, Minister.
**Minister Sirait:** Thank you for having me.
**Editor:** Your recent initiative calls on large conglomerates to assist in the development of 3 million houses. Can you explain why their involvement is critical for this project?
**Minister Sirait:** Absolutely. The involvement of conglomerates is essential for two main reasons. First, they have the resources and expertise necessary to manage large-scale housing projects effectively. Second, their participation can stimulate the economy significantly, as construction generates jobs and supports local businesses.
**Editor:** You’ve mentioned specific entrepreneurs being invited to participate. What criteria do you have in mind for selecting these partners?
**Minister Sirait:** We are looking for partners with a proven track record in housing development or property construction. This ensures that they can deliver quality housing that meets community needs. We want to work with those who have experience and a commitment to helping the public.
**Editor:** How do you envision the collaboration between your department and these conglomerates?
**Minister Sirait:** We aim to create a framework that allows for public-private partnerships. This means that while the government will provide support and policy guidance, the private sector can contribute its expertise and innovation. Together, we can create affordable, livable housing for all Indonesians.
**Editor:** What message do you wish to convey to potential partners?
**Minister Sirait:** I urge all conglomerates to come forward and collaborate with the government. This is not just about business; it’s about contributing to society and helping to fulfill a basic human need — shelter. Together, we can make a significant impact.
**Editor:** Thank you, Minister Sirait, for sharing your insights on this vital initiative.
**Minister Sirait:** Thank you for having me. Let’s work together for a better future.
