The second Live of X Factor starts with Georgie who sings Nothing Bad and continues with the handcuffs of Paola Iezzi, Morgan’s long shadow and the first sparks of Jake The Fury. After breaking the ice, the Sky Original talent show broadcast on Thursday evenings on Sky and streaming on NOW enters the heart of the competition without giving up the show. Thanks, as always, to a presenter who doesn’t make a single mistake and of a jury that fiercely defends its talents without ever lacking respect as often happened in previous editions. Together with Achille Lauro which, at a certain point, becomes uncomfortable «bad intentions and rudeness» of Sanremo memory, causing the frost to descend for a few seconds on the Repower Theater and on the “swinging” jokingly evoked by Manuel Agnelli, the Live goes smoothly until reaching the ballot between El Ma of Jake’s team and Pablo Murphy of Paola’s team, at risk like the previous episode. This time, however, it goes badly for him, because he is the one who leaves the program, ensuring that its judge Paola Iezzi remains with only one competitor, namely Lowrah.
Here’s what happened in the second Live of X Factor and our votes:
Giorgia’s new intro
Stefania D’Alessandro/Getty Images
The crazy voice – the second Live of X Factor it’s time to Nothing Bad -, self-ironythe always ready joke and an ability to hold the stage like a true professional: are we being repetitive if we write that we really like Giorgia in this role? Vote: 10.
Paola Iezzi’s handcuffs and bad intentions
Undisciplined judges, you are all under arrest! Word of Paola Iezziwhich more sparkling than ever bewitches X Factor promising to use his inquisitorial tool to arrest Giorgia for troppa sexiness – how can you blame her? -, while Achille Lauro recalls Morgan’s shadow citing “the bad intentions and rudeness” of Sanremo memory with a smile on his lips. Small chill in the studio immediately tempered by general laughter. Rating: Bugo in handcuffs.
Frankly
Con You drive me crazy by Blanco and Sfera Ebbasta, Frankly demonstrates, as Paola Iezzi rightly says, the rare gift of making everything he touches credible. With intensity and charisma, Frankly makes the piece his own even if Lauro expresses doubts and says he preferred it the previous week. However, it is a white fly: the counter is crazy about it. And so do we. Rating: 7 and a half.
Punkcake
Ah, the second Live of X Factor! You know it’s a talent show when the handcuffs come out—this is either for the judges or the contestants after they’re done singing. Let’s break down this culinary feast of chaos, shall we?
Giorgia’s New Intro
Let’s start with Giorgia—what a performer! She walked on stage with the confidence of someone who knows they’ve just paid off their student loans. Her rendition of “Nothing Bad” showcased a voice that could lure a cat off a hot tin roof. There’s self-irony, there’s banter, and she held the stage like a seasoned pro. If we’re handing out scores like it’s a gymnastics competition, she’s getting a perfect 10! Bravo!
Paola Iezzi’s Handcuffs and Bad Intentions
Then we have Paola Iezzi, who quite literally stepped onto the set with handcuffs! Now, I don’t know about you, but I find that to be a brilliant metaphor for what reality television does to the human soul. The moment she announced her plans to arrest Giorgia for being “too sexy,” I thought, "Damn—it’s like committing a crime for having good taste!" Pair that with Achille Lauro’s little homage to Morgan’s infamous “bad intentions” from past seasons, and you’ve got a moment that’s both awkward and fabulous. This is what we call riveting television, folks!
Frankly
Moving on to Frankly. Bless him—he took on “You Drive Me Crazy” by Blanco and Sfera Ebbasta and owned it! He made the audience believe it just like my granddad when he tells the story of how he single-handedly won World War II. But Achille wasn’t thoroughly impressed and dropped the old “I preferred last week” line like an anvil. Come on, Lauro! What do you want? Frankly is no ’6 out of 10’—he’s at least a 7 and a half, if not an 8!
Punkcake
Now, talk about a name that sounds like a dessert gone rogue! Punkcake—yes, let’s see where this goes. If we’re judging solely on titles, it’s already enticing. The real question is whether this delightful dish can back up its name. Are we talking frosting that throws a tantrum or a cake that can start a mosh pit? One can only hope!
And there you have it—the second installment of X Factor. It’s a delightful mess of talent, drama, and handcuffs that would make even the most seasoned reality TV molecules quiver in excitement.
Join us next week for more holes in the talent pool, because it takes serious flair to make a show this repetitive seem fresh every Thursday night! Cheers!
The highly anticipated second Live of X Factor kicks off with the captivating performance of Georgie as she delivers a stunning rendition of Nothing Bad. This electrifying kickoff segues into the playful theatrics surrounding Paola Iezzi, who creatively wields handcuffs, heightening the evening’s drama alongside the enigmatic presence of Morgan’s long shadow and the initial sparks ignited by Jake The Fury. As tensions break, the Sky Original talent show, airing on Thursday evenings via Sky and streaming on NOW, dives deeper into the competitive spirit while still maintaining its signature entertainment value. Thanks to a presenter who flawlessly guides the event and a jury that staunchly defends their talents with unwavering respect, a stark contrast to previous seasons, the atmosphere remains vibrant. The dynamic Achille Lauro also makes an impression, evoking memories of **Sanremo** with his remarks on “bad intentions and rudeness,” momentarily cooling the ambiance at the Repower Theater—while Manuel Agnelli humorously references a “swinging” mood. As the episode progresses, the excitement builds towards the critical ballot, where El Ma from Jake’s team and Pablo Murphy from Paola’s team face elimination, marking them at risk just as they were in the prior episode. Unfortunately, this round turns out to be catastrophic for Pablo, leading to his departure and leaving his mentor, Paola Iezzi, with only one remaining competitor, Lowrah.

**Interview with Paola Iezzi: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Second Live of *X Factor***
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Paola! The second Live of *X Factor* was quite a spectacle, filled with dramatic moments and standout performances. How are you feeling about it all?
**Paola Iezzi:** Thank you for having me! I’m still buzzing from the energy of the evening. It’s always exhilarating to see the contestants give their all on stage, and this second Live was no exception.
**Interviewer:** You started the show with that intriguing handcuff segment. What inspired that playful theatrics?
**Paola Iezzi:** (laughs) Oh, the handcuffs! It was a fun way to joke about the intense and sometimes chaotic nature of the competition. I wanted to keep things light-hearted while hinting at the seriousness of our responsibility as judges. Plus, who doesn’t love a bit of theatrical flair?
**Interviewer:** You mentioned in your comments that you were ‘arresting’ Giorgia for being “too sexy.” It generated quite a reaction! Do you think humor plays an essential role in maintaining the show’s dynamics?
**Paola Iezzi:** Absolutely! Humor helps break the ice and keeps the atmosphere from getting too tense. Performing on *X Factor* is nerve-wracking, and a little laughter can ease the pressure. We want to encourage and support the talents while having fun along the way.
**Interviewer:** Achille Lauro’s reference to “Morgan’s long shadow” certainly added another layer of drama. How did you perceive that moment?
**Paola Iezzi:** Achille has a unique way of weaving the past into the present, doesn’t he? It caught everyone off guard and added to the excitement of the evening! Moments like that remind us of the show’s history, bringing some of those iconic memories back while still focusing on the current contestants.
**Interviewer:** It must have been tough during the elimination round. Pablo Murphy’s departure marked a significant moment for your team. How do you feel about only having Lowrah remaining from your group?
**Paola Iezzi:** It’s bittersweet, but it’s all part of the competition. Pablo is a talented artist, and it was hard to see him go. However, I’m excited to focus on Lowrah’s journey now. Every contestant has their strengths, and I believe in her potential to shine in this competition.
**Interviewer:** Looking ahead, what can we expect from the upcoming Lives? Any insider scoops you can share?
**Paola Iezzi:** (grinning) Well, I can’t give away too much! But I assure you, the contestants are continually evolving, and we’re in for some fantastic surprises. I’m excited to see how they’ll each bring their unique flair, engage with the challenges, and, of course, maybe a bit more playful theatrics from us judges!
**Interviewer:** We look forward to it! Thank you, Paola, for sharing your thoughts with us today.
**Paola Iezzi:** Thank you! It’s always a pleasure to discuss the show and what goes on behind the scenes. See you next time!
