VOCALIST of the Greenhouse Effect, Cholil Mahmud, has pinned his hopes on the formation of a new ministry in Prabowo Subianto’s Red and White Cabinet, namely the Ministry of Culture. The Minister of Culture is Fadli Zon and the Deputy Minister is the former vocalist of the band Nidji, Giring Ganesha.
“We give them the opportunity to work. “Hopefully they can really make improvements and work more seriously,” said Cholil Mahmud when met in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, Thursday, (31/10).
According to Cholil, with the existence of a special ministry that regulates the cultural sector, it is hoped that it can improve the situation in Indonesia and change the human mentality for the better.
“In the past, the culture of manifestation was mental. Mental revolution. Ah, for 10 years of just bullshit. In fact, our mentality is getting worse. People start to easily become buzzers. It’s like values are no longer important. The important thing is to get money. That’s mentally damaging. “Hopefully it can be improved with a special ministry,” explained Cholil. (M-4)
