Previously, Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai believed that there would be an additional budget for the ministry he leads in the context of developing human rights in Indonesia, physically and non-physically.
The former Komnas HAM Commissioner wants the budget for his ministry to be more than IDR 20 trillion. According to Pigai, human rights development includes many physical and non-physical things, such as making regulations, protecting citizens and fulfilling people’s rights, which cannot be done with a small budget.
“If the country has the capacity, it wants above Rp. 20 trillion. And Pigai can build it, don’t think of me lightly. I am a field worker in human rights.
