Gresini Racing RACER Marc Marquez admits that he cannot determine who will be the 2024 MotoGP champion after mathematically there are only two racers left in the competition.
Marquez said that this year’s title race involved two riders who were both defending Ducati, namely Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin.
He was asked about his “involvement” in deciding the championship, something he has inadvertently done before.

“Of course it’s difficult. “I’ve been involved in the past,” said Marquez, quoted from Crash, Wednesday (30/10).
In 2015, Valentino Rossi failed to win the title and handed it over to Jorge Lorenzo, and to this day blames Marquez’s interference.
This weekend, MotoGP returns to the Sepang Circuit, where the Rossi-Lorenzo-Marquez feud occurred nine years ago.

Marquez has been asked in recent press conferences about “giving assistance” to champion duo Bagnaia and Martin, but dismissed claims he could provide an opinion.
“At the end of the day, as a rider, you always try to give 100% of your ability, and we saw at Phillip Island that, if you have to make a strong move, you will do it,” said Marquez.
“However, Ducati’s position is difficult, because two Ducati racers are competing for the championship. So, if one is a Ducati racer and the other is a KTM racer, it is easy to know what needs to be done,” he continued.

Marquez said he felt team orders were only necessary for a rider to win the title if they were not the fastest among the competitors.
“But, like this [dengan dua pembalap Ducati yang bertarung untuk gelar]”I think everyone will give 100% of their ability,” said Marquez.
“At the end of the day, I always say the same thing: if you have speed, you don’t need team command; if you’re the fastest out there, you don’t need team command. So, I think the fastest will win.” he concluded. (Z-1)

**Interview with Marc Marquez on the 2024 MotoGP Championship**
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Marc. As the 2024 MotoGP season nears its conclusion, you’ve stated that you cannot predict the champion. Could you elaborate on that?
**Marc Marquez:** Absolutely, and thank you for having me. This year’s championship has really come down to two incredible racers, Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin. Both are defending Ducati, and they’ve shown outstanding performance throughout the season. It’s tough for me to choose who will come out on top because both have the skills and determination to win.
**Interviewer:** You mentioned your past involvement in the championship outcomes. How has that shaped your perspective on the current situation?
**Marc Marquez:** It’s a unique perspective. In 2015, my actions during the season had an unexpected effect on Valentino Rossi’s title chase. Situations like that really highlight how interconnected we all are on the track. I’ve learned that while I can influence races, the championship ultimately comes down to consistent performance over the year.
**Interviewer:** With only two contenders left, do you feel any responsibility as a fellow racer to ensure fair competition?
**Marc Marquez:** Of course, I believe that every racer should honor the sport and compete fairly. My goal is always to race at my best and hope for the same from others. At the end of the day, it’s about respect among the competitors and the integrity of the championship.
**Interviewer:** Looking forward, do you have any thoughts on your own future in MotoGP and what it might hold?
**Marc Marquez:** At this point, I’m focusing on enjoying the remaining races of the season and supporting my team, Gresini Racing. My journey in MotoGP is far from over, and I’m excited about what lies ahead.
**Interviewer:** Thank you for sharing your insights, Marc. We wish you and your team the best in the concluding races of the season!
**Marc Marquez:** Thank you very much! It’s always a pleasure to talk about the sport I love.
