The root of this rivalry is Salman’s alleged involvement in blackbuck hunting in 1998. This animal is considered sacred in the Bishnoi community. Although Salman has denied the allegations, Lawrence’s cousin has now claimed that the actor tried to end the affair with a ‘blank cheque’ years ago.

According to Indian media, Ramesh Bishnoi, the cousin of the imprisoned Lawrence, spoke openly about the gangster’s feud with Salman Khan in an interview given to Indian TV recently. He claimed that the actor had offered him money as compensation after the black buck case came to light and the Bishnois denounced Salman.

He said that Salman had brought a blank checkbook to meet the community leaders and asked them to fill in whatever price they wanted in exchange for ending the case.

Responding to Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan’s allegation that Lawrence was targeting Salman for financial gain, Ramesh said the issue was one of ideology rather than money. Ramesh said, ‘Our blood was boiling. He added that Lawrence owns 110 acres of land in India and is so prosperous that he does not need to resort to any kind of extortion.

Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari also went hunting with him. Since then Salman Khan has been receiving death threats and attacks from the Bishnoi group. Salman Khan’s case of this victim has been going on for 25 years and Salman Khan is currently out on bail.

Salman has been repeatedly demanded to apologize by the Bishnoi community, which holds the Akala Haran sacred.

According to Indian media reports, Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan recently said in an interview with ABP that there is no question of an apology as it would mean that Salman is confessing to the crime. While Salman has not killed any animal till date.
