**Interview with Artist Fengzee Yang about “SOUNDER WIND”**

**Editor:** Today, we’re⁢ joined ⁣by Fengzee Yang, whose upcoming‍ exhibition, ”SOUNDER WIND,” will be held⁢ on November 1st at the ARC Gallery in Chicago.⁢ Fengzee,⁣ thank you for being with us!

**Fengzee Yang:** Thank you for‌ having me!

**Editor:** Your exhibition, “SOUNDER WIND,” is likely to⁤ resonate deeply with attendees. ⁣Can you tell⁤ us what ‌inspired this particular body of work?

**Fengzee⁢ Yang:** ⁣Absolutely! “SOUNDER WIND” is inspired by the‌ interplay‌ between sound‌ and nature. ⁣I wanted to explore how the natural world communicates and how we often overlook the subtleties ⁢of those sounds in our busy lives. The installation incorporates various auditory elements to create an immersive experience.

**Editor:** Sounds fascinating! How do⁤ you expect visitors to ⁤engage with ‌your work?

**Fengzee Yang:** I hope they will not‌ only listen but feel the sounds‌ physically and emotionally. I’ve designed the space so⁤ that viewers can ⁢move through it‍ and interact with different sound sources. It’s about ‌creating a shared experience that connects us to our environment.

**Editor:** You’re opening your exhibition ⁣on the same evening as several other art events in Chicago. What do you think about the arts scene there⁤ right now?

**Fengzee ‌Yang:** Chicago has always had a vibrant arts‌ community, and I’m excited to be part of it. There’s a wonderful sense of collaboration among artists and spaces like ARC Gallery. I think events like these create opportunities for dialogue and⁣ inspiration across different⁤ mediums and perspectives.

**Editor:** You’re also showcasing in⁤ a city known for its ⁤diverse artistic expressions. ⁣What does that diversity mean to you as an artist?

**Fengzee Yang:** It means everything! Diversity fuels creativity. It challenges me to think⁤ beyond my own experiences⁢ and embrace the multiplicity of voices. This exhibition, alongside others like “WITH(TRA)⁣ THE FILE” and “Radical Joy,” reflects that ⁢diversity and the importance of storytelling in ⁢art.

**Editor:** what do ‍you hope visitors take away from “SOUNDER WIND”?

**Fengzee Yang:** I hope they leave with a renewed sense of awareness—both of the⁤ sounds around them ⁣and their connection to that environment. If I⁣ can spark curiosity and provoke ‍thought, I’ll ⁢consider⁣ it a success.

**Editor:** Thank you for sharing ⁤your insights, Fengzee! We’re ⁣looking forward to “SOUNDER⁤ WIND” ‍on November 1st at ARC Gallery.

**Fengzee‍ Yang:** Thank ‍you! I can’t wait to share ‌this experience with‍ everyone.
