ARI Lasso, former vocalist of Dewa 19, announced his divorce from Vitta Dessy via his Instagram account, surprising the public who did not think that their relationship had ended.
This divorce, which has been going on since February 2024, was handled by legal representatives and kept secret to protect their privacy.
Even though divorce is not something to be proud of, Ari finally decided to share this information after various oblique comments appeared on social media.
In his upload on Instagram, he stated firmly, “so, starting from FEBRUARY 2024 (exactly silver anniversary), Vitta Dessy and I have officially divorced. Because the reasons I CANNOT WRITE AND EXPLAIN. POINT.”
In his statement, Ari also revealed that this divorce had been mutually agreed upon by them and their children. He emphasized,
“The important thing is that we both (with the consent of the children) agreed to separate amicably, with the help of a lawyer we appointed, to manage it without any leaks. So that ‘this unimportant news’ doesn’t need to spread, because after all this is our family’s domestic problem.”
He also emphasized that their family situation was fine and his children understood the situation.
