Are you a subscriber to Proton VPN and has a Apple TV? Please know that the service just launched an application for set-top box from Maçã, allowing users to access the content they want no matter where they are.
Apple TV, it’s worth remembering, supports so-called virtual private networks (or simply VPN, for its acronym in English) since the launch of tvOS 17, which took place last year. Since then, we’ve seen several such services launch their own apps for the device, such as NordVPN, Surfshark VPN, Atlas VPN and ExpressVPN.
According to the service, the new app gives you access to more than 8,500 Proton VPN servers spread across 112 countries, in addition to increasing the security of your connection by preventing third parties — including your internet provider — from monitoring your browsing, accessing your location or collect your data.
The biggest advantage of having a VPN configured on your Apple TV, however, is having the ability to change the location of your configuration to unblock access to content that is not available in your country. This includes films and series on specific streaming services and even entire platforms.
According to David Petersongeneral manager of Proton VPN, this app was one of the most requested things by users of the tool. He also announced, without much ado, Proton VPN’s compatibility with Apple Vision Pro.
Always good to have more options, right?
