Since January, two representatives of Liberia will defend the colors of Slavia Prague. The support of Sešívané is Oscar Dorley and he will be joined by Divine Teah, the transfer of the eighteen-year-old midfielder from Hammarby, Sweden was officially confirmed today.
Teah is considered to be of great promise and last year the English newspaper The Guardian ranked him among the 100 greatest talents for 2023. The footballer successfully underwent a medical this week and on Wednesday evening signed a contract valid until December 2029, according to some sources, the sum of 3 .5 million euros, another 900 thousand euros should be in play depending on the bonuses.

“We are very happy that Divine’s arrival to Slavia was a success, a large number of European clubs were interested in him. He is a great talent, we think of him as a player for the future. He is versatile, he impressed us with his solutions in the last third of the field. Oscar to him will help with acclimatization, explain to him what it means to be a Slavia player. He will definitely get time to adapt.” says Slavia sports director Jiří Bílek.
Teah can alternate on the left wing as well as on the edge of the defense and in the Swedish top flight he only played the role of a substitute, he started seven games for Hammarby and played only 35 minutes in all. His balance on the international scene is more varied, Teah was invited to the national team for the first time as a fifteen-year-old, and in March 2022 he became the youngest scorer in the history of the national team when he scored in a match against Burundi at the age of 15 years and 347 days.
“I’m excited and happy to be here. Oscar told me a lot about Slavia, as well as about the coach. All great things. I met some of the players in the cabin, they were extremely friendly, I saw the stadium and the fans already on Sunday. A great experience. I can’t wait to join the team” Teah let himself be heard.
Divine Arrival: Slavia Prague Signs a Future Star!
Ah, football! The beautiful game where dreams come true and the conversations can often border on the nonsensical—like asking why a football doesn’t actually cook (but I digress). Today, we’re here to giggle, snicker, and chuckle about Slavia Prague’s latest signing, an 18-year-old named Divine Teah. Yes, Divine! Sounds like he should be running a heavenly charity rather than dribbling a ball, doesn’t it?
Since January, the colorful jersey of Slavia Prague has been graced by the presence of Oscar Dorley, who welcomes his new teammate Divine with open arms—probably while wearing a “Slavia is divine” t-shirt, which, admittedly, was only half a pun. Teah comes prancing in from Hammarby in Sweden, having successfully navigated a medical exam—no running through hoops or juggling flaming torches, just good ol’ health checks. And, in what might be seen as a divine intervention for the club’s future, he signed on the dotted line until, not next week, not next month, but December 2029! That’s practically a lifetime in football years.

But let’s get to the juicy bits, shall we? The lad made it onto The Guardian’s prestigious list of 100 greatest talents for 2023—clearly, they were sleepwalking through their research, because doesn’t every footballer under 20 end up somewhere on that list? Regardless, it’s exciting times for Slavia. With a price tag around 3.5 million euros (which will definitely give you a nice return to the bank, albeit with a slight appreciation for inflation), an extra 900 thousand euros is waiting in the wings depending on bonuses. Just imagine the odds of him receiving a bonus for every time he outsmarts an opponent! What’s he going to do, keep a tally in the dressing room? “Oh, look at me, I only need 20 more matches to buy a new sports car!”
Speaking of divine talents, the Slavia sports director Jiří Bílek is clearly drinking the Kool-Aid on this one with statements like, *“He is a great talent, we think of him as a player for the future.”* Ah, the future—the place every club imagines players live before they get transferred to Manchester United or Real Madrid. Teah is versatile, which is football lingo for “we don’t really know where he’ll play yet, but we’re pretty sure he can kick a ball!” He’s played a whopping total of 35 minutes in the Swedish top flight. Just think of that! So that’s what they mean by “youth is wasted on the young”—they start a lot, but when the coach is not watching, they may as well be sipping a smoothie!
And what’s this I hear? Teah’s not just a scoring machine at his club—oh no, folks! You see, at the tender age of 15 years and 347 days, he became the youngest scorer in Liberian history. Clearly, at this stage, he’s mastered the fine art of scoring goals against opponents who probably forgot to wear their glasses on match day!
Teah, upon joining, expressed his excitement, saying, *“Oscar told me a lot about Slavia, as well as about the coach. All great things.”* I mean, who wouldn’t be chuffed to hear their friend wax poetic about a coach? I can just imagine the conversation: “Oh, he’s magnificent! He’s like the football version of Gordon Ramsay, except instead of yelling about pasta, he screams at you for misplaced passes!”
In conclusion, we’ve given a warm round of applause (and perhaps a cheeky side-eye) to the arrival of Divine Teah at Slavia Prague! Will he turn those divine aspirations into reality? Only time will tell. Let’s just hope he doesn’t mistakenly eat the “Divine Tacos” just before match day. Place bets, ladies and gentlemen; we’re in for what could be an entertaining ride!
Iven about Teah’s arrival. He commented, “We are very happy that Divine’s arrival to Slavia was a success, a large number of European clubs were interested in him. He is a great talent, we think of him as a player for the future.” With a clear plan for his development, Bílek also mentioned that team member Oscar Dorley will help Teah acclimate to Slavia’s culture.
