Tepeapulco: Where the Living and the Dead Throw a Party!
Well, folks, mark your calendars because Tepeapulco is stepping up its game! Starting October 29, this little slice of paradise is transforming into Skull Town. Yes, you heard that right. We’re talking about a celebration that combines the macabre with the magnificent. With over 10,000 expectant guests, it looks like it’s going to be a night to “die” for!
The Unveiling of the Giant Altar & Night Walks!
Imagine a giant altar—because what’s a cultural event without an altar that could probably rival your local IKEA’s showroom? Add light fountains, sound shows, and traditional Day of the Dead spectacles, and you’ve got a treat for the senses. Plus, there’ll be night walks through themed spaces that promise to be enlightening… or should I say, enlightening in a spiritual sense! The festivities kick off at 5 PM in the Historic Center—perfect timing to confuse your boss why you’re ‘working late.’ Thank goodness all these attractions are free! Can you believe it?
Pretty Much Everything You’re Looking For—With a Calavera Twist!
Now, don’t think they’re leaving anyone out! Nope, this fiesta includes attractions for the kiddos too. Got little ones who turn into gremlins at night? Perfect! The telling of stories, short plays, and themed attractions are likely to keep them entertained while you sip on some delicious pulque or tequila. Yes, I said tequila! It’s practically a cultural necessity at this point.
“We want to leave a legacy not only in the traditional events cultural and historical of the municipality, but in the economic part, because within the Tepeapulco district it is a leader…”
Safety and Security—Because What’s a Party Without Them?
Our stars of safety, Civil Protection, are in full swing to supervise every inch of this event. No one wants a Carlos Mencia impersonator causing chaos while you’re busy trying to eat your pozole, right? They’ve got plans in place to ensure everyone has a spook-tacular time without becoming part of the ‘living dead.’
Why Tepeapulco is Your New Favorite Destination!
And before I forget, Alfredo Gonzalez, the big cheese (also known as the president of Tepeapulco), has invited everyone to experience the town’s 500-year-old church, the magnificent aqueduct that stretches 27 kilometers, and the unique architecture that would make you say, “Why didn’t I visit sooner?” Seriously, are you not even slightly tempted? We’re talking about cultural richness that makes your local Starbucks look like a dilapidated shed!
