The thieves entered by breaking open a gate, and a Weidemann 1260 mini loader was stolen.
The theft happened between Monday at 4.30pm and Tuesday morning at 7.30am.
However, the mini loader has been found again, says Peter Skovbak from the local police in Frederikshavn.
It was found on Tuesday when it was hidden from the road in a patch of forest on Bøjlevejen.
– We think that it has been hidden out of the way, so that it could have been picked up at a later time, says Peter Skovbak.
This is the fourth theft of skid steer loaders in Skagen in recent months.
Two skid steer loaders were stolen on 19 and 20 October, but they have both been found again in Skagen and Sindal. In addition, a skid steer loader was stolen on 7 August.
Finally, mini loaders were also stolen in Ålbæk on 24 August.
Peter Skovbak says that with the many thefts, attention is now being increased when it comes to skid steer loaders in Skagen.
– We think that it might be connected when the theft of skid steer loaders is so massive in a city, he says.
– We are very interested in hearing from witnesses who either saw something in the area around Buttervej or Bøjlevejen on the night of Tuesday. But we would also like to hear if there is anyone who knows anything about the other thefts of skid steer loaders, he says.
