‘The political pedigree of Alessandro Giuli: the story of Rainaldo Graziani’. This is the title with which Report anticipated on social media the contents of the investigation which will be broadcast on Sunday evening on Rai3 regarding the Minister of Culture. Inside the episode, an interview with the representative of the neo-fascist and neo-Nazi extra-parliamentary right Graziani who defined Giuli as a “brilliant figure” in Meridiano Zero. The minister – who announced that he will watch the episode concerning himself “live on the phone with my lawyer” – immediately downplayed the scope of the ‘revelation’ regarding his militancy within the neo-Nazi-inspired movement: “And there was Did I need Rainaldo Graziani to say it in the past”, he sneered.
It has not yet been aired when Sigfrido Ranucci’s program has already created controversy not only on the issues concerning the holder of the Department of Cultural Heritage but also on the coincidence of the episode with the electoral silence: on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 October in Liguria people will vote for the regional and Report will broadcast an investigation entitled ‘Liguria nostra’ on the arrest of former president Giovanni Toti. The first person to intervene was the president of the senators of Forza Italia, Maurizio Gasparri, member of the Rai Supervision, who spoke of an “illegal act” in using “a Rai broadcast to carry out electoral propaganda”.
