Lebanon’s Permanent Envoy to the UN in Geneva Salim Baddoura said Israel does not appear to want to make compromises to resolve the conflict in Lebanon. In fact, there are many options that can be discussed to stop this conflict.
“Many options are being discussed, and we are approaching diplomatic efforts in an open and constructive manner. However, Israel does not appear willing to compromise at this time,” Salim said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
In fact, said Salim, there were diplomatic activities involving several political leaders and diplomatic envoys because there were real concerns about increasing damage and civilian casualties, as well as the possibility of war spreading.

Since October 1, Israel has launched ground operations in southern Lebanon under the pretext of targeting Hezbollah forces and continues to carry out air strikes in the neighboring country.
Despite suffering losses, including in the command staff, Hezbollah continued to carry out ground fighting and did not stop firing rockets into Israeli territory.
As many as 2,600 people were killed, including Hezbollah leaders and more than a million people were displaced.
Israel stated that the main aim of the attack on Lebanon was to create conditions so that the 60,000 residents in the north who were evacuated after Hezbollah bombings a year ago could return. (Sputnik/Ant/P-3)
