The General Command of the Armed Forces issued a new statement, which stated:
Under the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Bariz, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Region, received today, Tuesday, at the level of the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces in Rabat, Lieutenant General P.S. Fayyad Ben Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, who is visiting the Kingdom of Morocco from October 28 to November 2, 2024, at the head of an important military delegation.
According to a statement from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, the discussions, which took place in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Rabat, the military attaché to the Saudi Embassy in Morocco, heads of offices at the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, and inspectors of the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy, dealt with opportunities to develop Axes of military cooperation, and ways to enhance them.
During this meeting, the two officials expressed their satisfaction with the positive outcome of military cooperation between the two countries, which includes in particular training and exchange of visits.
It should be noted that Moroccan-Saudi military cooperation is organized by an agreement – a framework for military and technical cooperation that was signed in December 2015. This agreement includes the areas of training, defense industry, logistical support, transfer of military expertise, military medical services and exchange of visits.
