Venezuelan forward José Santiago Materán had one of his best performances in the Brazilian Basketball League (NBB) and led Pato Basquete’s 85-77 victory over Unifacisa.
With the victory, the Paraná quintet was left with a record of three wins against two losses, and rose from tenth to seventh place.
In the match held at the Do Sesi Coliseum, in Maceió, the local quintet lost 22-17 in the first quarter, but went into halftime with a 38-31 lead, thanks to a burst of 11 points from Materán in the second quarter .
The visitors reacted and left the score 57-52 in their favor, at the end of the third period, but the Larense swingman, once again, came to the rescue and with seven goals in the final quarter, sealed the victory for Pato Basquete.

Materán appeared in the duel with 22 points (6-4 in triples), six rebounds and one assist, to become the most outstanding player of the match.
The vinotinto international, with 50% success in baskets of three, is ranked third in that department on the Amazon circuit.
