With an entertaining performance that suggests love instead of greed, collectiveness and empathy instead of individualism, beauty and creation instead of ugliness and destruction, DI.PE.THE begins its winter theatrical activity with vigor. Patras.
Specifically, on Saturday, November 2, the work of Federico García Lorca Where to go Christbitta, you won’t get Rosita, goes up to the Children’s Stage of DI.PE.THE. Patras.
This is an adaptation of the Artistic Director of the theater Yannis Kalatzopoulos, in the work of the Spanish poet The Beans of Katsipora.
Federico García Lorca wrote the story of Don Cristóbal and Rosita for the puppet theater in 1927, which became one of his greatest successes. The premise, the style and the heroes are reminiscent of the Commedia dell’Arte.
The story:
Kounoupis tells the love story of the young and beautiful Rosita, who loves the carefree and dreamy Kokolikos. But her father wants to marry her to the rich, old and wild Don Cristobita who the club of power and the swelling belly of his omnipotence, he terrorizes the poor and the weak… and then Kurito appears, who has loved Rosita since he was a child, but lacked a sailor on the ships. Now he came back determined to marry her.
What will happen in the end? Who will take the beautiful Donia Rosita? What role will the innkeeper Cloudfear, the shoemaker Low-Psyche, the barber Figaro or the fairy, One Hour, play in this story?
