The Venezuelan national team won the South American U15 basketball tournament, which took place at the César Fadul Dibb Coliseum, located in the city of Pasaje, Ecuador.
The national team, led by Alexis Cedres, beat its Brazilian counterpart in the grand final of the competition with a score of 64-58, to win the fourth gold in its history in the category and the first in 21 years.
It is worth remembering that the national quintet fell to the Cariocas in the group stage (73-52), which was also the Venezuelans’ only defeat in the championship, but they were able to get even in the decisive duel.
