He returned to Patrasafter his recent performance “Jealous Cat”this time not as an actress, but as a singer! One parameter, which together with that of the dancer, compose her artistic mosaic.
Every Sunday, from 7pm to 1amappears on his stage “Metropolis” on Tsamadou Street, in a role that will surely pleasantly surprise her fans. In a program head, which revives the bouzoukis of the 1980swith flowers, breaking dishes and non-stop dancing.
Favorite artist spoke to “Peloponnisos” from the heart, on the occasion of her regular appearances in Patras, which have already begun.
“I’M NOT ONE-DIMENSIONAL”
“I I don’t consider myself a singer. I perform the songs and entertain the people. I give another dimension through the theater. I am an artist. And an artist is not one-dimensional. Theater, dance and song, they are all an embrace.
I started with dancing. In fact, I liked the show from a very young age. As a child I admired Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand and others. I was fascinated by them. But I saw that the dance has a very short expiration date. I understood that since I was 15. I said “Helen, until when are you going to dance?”. On the other hand, in Greece we do not have the huge standards in dance. And on the other hand the theater also enchanted me. I’ve been singing ever sincebut only in the context of shows and films”.

THE MUSICAL BEGINNING
“When in 2009 the first proposal was made by Babis Tsertos in “Keramikos”, he wanted to create one program involving actors. They called me along with her Jesse Shoe. If the audience had not encouraged me to continue, I cannot say that I would have dared to persist in singing. I lost it when they said to me “girl, what have you been doing all these years? Why weren’t you singing?” And I wondered what they liked so much. It might have been the immediacy I have with the audience and because of theater of course. In the theater I am my role, in the song, I am Eleni! So I diligently dealt with the pentagram, but I never left the theater.”
“CLEAN LAUGHTER”
«The song didn’t just sustain me financially, some given periods. Me the song kept me in my pain! When I lost my mother, but also in various other events in my life. On the one hand, you can say “laugh, you rascal”, but on the other hand, without realizing it, the night that’s too hard, help me come home at 4 in the morning and now I’m in pieces. Why the day was horrible for me. I was crying, I was in pain… Because for a year I spent as a martyr, until little by little I was able to stand on my own two feet.
Each person deals with their experiences differently. In this, the song helped me a lot. I wanted to, I didn’t want to, I had to sing, so whether you want to or not, you forget. Because you don’t want and shouldn’t transfer your personal information to the world. There is nothing wrong with you in common. This can be very hard, but without realizing it, it’s also healing!”
FOR THE ME TOO MOVEMENT
“I these the things that have been revealed in recent years with the Me Too movement, I have experienced them since my beginning! Of course I have suffered! I I had spoken, for 20 years about all thiswithout naming names of course. I have lost many jobs because of this! I’ve eaten a lot of tripe! When I denounced this in 2000, they made fun of it. And I don’t think I was the only one who had spoken. Simply now was the time to open their mouths. All this happened, is happening and will happen! When did power not exploit the weak? That’s why I say many times that we hide behind our finger, we become hypocrites. Because of my appearance I became a target and I remember that wherever I went to work, I had my mom by my side for this reason! Surely many things would have been different if I had intended to give in…”.
