The stabbing incident of one family, continued Ajib, occurred on Saturday (26/10) at around 16.30 WIB. The suspect brought a machete to the victim who was in front of his house. Then, the suspect immediately slashed his machete at the three victims.
After the stabbing, said Ajib, Budiman calmly left the scene and returned to his house without anyone stopping him. This is because residents are worried that they will become victims considering that the suspect is still holding a machete. “I heard that the perpetrator was arrested by the police yesterday afternoon,” he added.

Because, he added, even though the suspect admitted to the stabbing, the reasons given always changed. “The perpetrator has now been detained by the police and taken to RSJD Semarang for observation regarding his mental condition,” said Efendi Yulianto.

**Interview with Ajib, Neighbor of Stabbing Victims in Kendal**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Ajib. Can you tell us what happened during the stabbing incident that took place in your neighborhood?
**Ajib:** Thank you for having me. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 26th, around 4:30 PM. The suspect, Budiman, attacked a family of three—his neighbor, the husband and wife, and the husband’s parents. It was shocking because it happened right in front of their house.
**Editor:** What do you think prompted Budiman’s violent actions?
**Ajib:** Budiman claimed he was hurt by accusations that he stole chickens. Apparently, there was some tension leading up to this, and he felt he was being wrongfully blamed, which led him to lash out. It’s hard to comprehend how it escalated to violence.
**Editor:** What can you tell us about the aftermath of the attack?
**Ajib:** After the attack, Budiman didn’t try to escape. It seems he surrendered to the police right away. He was taken in for questioning, and he confessed to the attack when investigators confronted him.
**Editor:** You mentioned the victims were a family. How are they doing now?
**Ajib:** I haven’t been able to check on them since the incident; I just hope they’re receiving the medical care they need. This kind of violence is deeply concerning for our community.
**Editor:** What do you believe can be done to prevent such incidents in the future?
**Ajib:** I think we need more community engagement and dialogue to resolve conflicts before they become violent. It’s crucial for neighbors to talk and understand each other rather than jump to accusations.
**Editor:** Thank you for sharing your insights, Ajib. It’s important that we highlight the need for community cohesion and conflict resolution.
**Ajib:** Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. We all want a safer neighborhood.
