**Interview with Ramesh Bishnoi: Claims about Salman Khan’s Blank Check Offer**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us, Ramesh. Recently, you made some intriguing claims about Salman Khan and the Bishnoi community following the black buck killing case. Can you tell us more about that?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Thank you for having me. After the incident gained media attention, Salman Khan personally met with our community leaders. He came with a blank checkbook and offered to pay whatever amount we deemed fit as compensation.
**Editor:** That’s quite an extraordinary offer. How did the Bishnoi community react at that time?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Initially, we condemned the killing, as it goes against our values and beliefs. When Salman Khan offered the check, we were taken aback. It seemed to us that he wanted to cover up the matter financially rather than genuinely address the issue.
**Editor:** You mentioned that if the community was motivated by money, you would have accepted the offer. Can you elaborate on your stance?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Absolutely. Our primary concern has never been financial gain. If that was the case, we would have gladly accepted the money then. Instead, we seek accountability for actions that are disrespectful to our beliefs and culture.
**Editor:** Salman Khan’s father, Saleem Khan, suggested that your cousin Lawrence was targeting the actor for financial reasons. How do you respond to those claims?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Those claims are unfounded. Our family and community are not interested in financial exploitation. We’re simply standing up for our rights and values. It’s essential to distinguish between seeking justice and seeking money.
**Editor:** Thank you, Ramesh, for providing insight into this complex situation. Your perspective sheds light on the values of the Bishnoi community.
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Thank you for having me. It’s essential for us to clarify our position and ensure that our values are respected.
Any amount we deemed appropriate as compensation. He wanted to quickly settle the matter, which we found quite surprising.
**Editor:** That’s quite a bold move. Why did your community choose not to accept his offer?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Our decision was rooted in principle. If we had been motivated solely by money, we would have taken the check. But this is not about financial gain; it’s about respect for our values and the ideology that our community upholds regarding the blackbuck, which we consider sacred.
**Editor:** You mentioned that your “blood was boiling” at the time. Can you elaborate on that sentiment?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Absolutely. The blackbuck poaching incident was deeply hurtful to us. It wasn’t just about the animal; it’s about our heritage and how we view our relationship with nature. When we found out that a prominent figure like Salman Khan was involved, it fueled our anger and made it impossible to think about financial compensation as a solution.
**Editor:** Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, implied that Lawrence Bishnoi was targeting his son for financial reasons. What is your response to that?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** This isn’t about money — Lawrence has over a hundred acres of land and is financially stable. Our fight is driven by a sense of justice and the need for acknowledgment of wrongdoing. If we had pursued this for personal gain, our approach would have been entirely different.
**Editor:** The case has spanned over two decades. How does this prolonged timeline impact your community’s feelings towards Salman Khan?
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** It has only intensified our resolve. This has been a long struggle for justice, and with each passing year, the demand for accountability grows stronger. Our community has not wavered in our protest against his actions and the need for an apology.
**Editor:** Thank you, Ramesh, for sharing your insights with us. It seems that this matter goes beyond legal implications and touches upon deeply held beliefs.
**Ramesh Bishnoi:** Thank you for giving me a platform to express our perspective.
