Market Pass: Which beneficiaries go to checkout today

Market Pass: Which beneficiaries go to checkout today

His payday Market Pass today, Wednesday, May 3, to the beneficiaries. Those who chose him their bank account in order to enter the check money for shopping in a super market, the remaining half of the amount due to them has already started to be paid. It’s the second payment for them and no more! Those who chose a physical card will also receive money today.

H immaterial digital cardwill “load” two more times until the end of the program in July. The amounts that will pass into the hands of the beneficiaries must be “cashed in” by the end of the summer, otherwise they are lost, according to enikonomia.gr.

Which backlog “closes”
Today, therefore, the backlog with those who chose to pay off the market pass through a bank account is “closed”, as the payments are made gradually and are completed, as there is no other payment for this specific category of beneficiaries. They received the money in two installments.

Those who chose to issue an immaterial digital card will also be paid the installment for the month of May today, but they still have two payments left (note: in this case the payments are monthly) which will be made as follows

  • on June 3 for the month of June, and
  • on July 3 for the month of July.

Where can the immaterial card be used?
The stores, where consumers can redeem the market pass money, belong to the following categories:

Groceries, Supermarkets, Butchers, Patisserie Shops, Dairy Shops, Bakeries, as well as various food shops.

Any transfer to a third party or withdrawal of the amount credited to the debit card is not possible.

The use of the digital debit card is carried out through a device that supports contactless transaction technology (Web/Virtual POS).

The digital debit card remains activated until 31.08.2023, after which the credit institution or financial institution must immediately deactivate it, while any unused balance is lost.

How much money will those waiting for Market Pass get in account
Of course – as mentioned above – for those who do not have mobile phones that support NFC technology, there was the way out of collecting the amount of the market pass to a bank account of each household’s choice.

In this case, however, the… household had to come to terms with the idea that it would receive “scissored” support, i.e., that it would range from 17.6 euros and reach up to 80 euros per month, as well as that the amount will not be paid at the beginning of the month – as is the case with the “digital card” – but quarterly. This is how the last payment is happening now for those who chose a bank account with “collected” a full 3 months in their accounts.

Beneficiaries are households where their annual total family income is up to 16,000 euros for single-member households and 24,000 euros for married couples or parties to a cohabitation agreement, which is increased by 5,000 euros for each child, other dependent member and guest member of the household, according to the E1 form of the tax return.

Therefore, if the person liable to submit a tax return is married with two dependent children and also has a third, older child who is not considered a dependent but hosts him, then the members of the household are considered as five and both the income limits and the amount of the aid expand accordingly.
