**Interview with Kate Beckinsale: Proving Dedication in ‘Black Canary’**
**Editor:** Welcome, Kate! It’s great to have you here. Your recent film, *Black Canary*, has been generating a lot of buzz, especially regarding the stunts you performed yourself. Can you tell us what inspired you to take on these dangerous stunts?
**Kate Beckinsale:** Thank you for having me! I’ve always believed in fully embodying my characters, and for *Black Canary*, that meant diving into the intense action sequences. I wanted to prove to the audience—and to myself—that I could handle the physicality of the role. It’s about authenticity; I wanted viewers to see my commitment to the character.
**Editor:** You mentioned the authenticity aspect. How do you respond to critics who claim that stunt doubles handle most of the action scenes in films like this?
**Kate Beckinsale:** I completely understand where the critics are coming from, but I think it’s important to showcase that not every actress relies solely on stunt doubles. In my case, I really pushed my limits and took on many of the stunts myself. I even ended up with bruises to prove it! (laughs) It was challenging but immensely rewarding.
**Editor:** That leads me to your Instagram post where you shared a review highlighting your performance. What was your reaction to that review?
**Kate Beckinsale:** I was thrilled to see the recognition of my efforts. Getting into specific moments where I’m running, jumping, and yes—even flying through the air, added so much to my portrayal. It’s always great to receive feedback that acknowledges the risks taken during filming.
**Editor:** With all the physical challenges, how do you prepare for such roles?
**Kate Beckinsale:** Great question! I spent months in training before filming—strength conditioning, martial arts, and even some acrobatics. I wanted to ensure I was physically ready to take on the role. Preparation is key, especially when performing high-risk stunts.
**Editor:** What advice do you have for aspiring actresses who want to pursue action roles but may be hesitant about the physical demands?
**Kate Beckinsale:** I say embrace it! Action roles can be incredibly empowering. Yes, it’s physically demanding, but it also teaches resilience and confidence. Find a good trainer, and don’t shy away from pushing your limits. You might surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
**Editor:** Thank you, Kate, for sharing your experiences and insights. *Black Canary* sounds like a thrilling ride, and we can’t wait to see the full extent of your dedication on screen!
**Kate Beckinsale:** Thank you! I hope everyone enjoys the film as much as I enjoyed making it!
Ition of the physical work I put into the film! Of course, I understand that some see stunt doubles in action scenes, but I wanted to share my experience and the real effort I put in. Those bruises you see? They tell a story of dedication! (smiles)
**Editor:** Your co-star, Laura Vörtler, also praised your hard work in her comments. How important is it to have support from your colleagues in such physically demanding roles?
**Kate Beckinsale:** It’s invaluable! Having someone like Laura, who understands the demands of the role, makes a huge difference. The camaraderie on set was fantastic, and we pushed each other to go further. It’s a collective effort, and knowing that your team respects and acknowledges your hard work feels amazing.
**Editor:** Lastly, what message do you hope audiences take away from *Black Canary*?
**Kate Beckinsale:** I hope they see a strong, determined woman who embraces challenges head-on. It’s about empowerment, resilience, and proving that we can break stereotypes—especially in action films. I want viewers to walk away feeling inspired to take on their own challenges, no matter how tough they seem.
