Now SV Ried is back in the promotion race

“We know the environment in Ried, the team has overcome enormous resistance,” celebrated Ried coach Maximilian Senft after his team’s 3-0 victory in the 2nd football league against Kapfenberg. The 35-year-old sent a special message to those who had already given up their nerves after three games without a win: “We are always self-critical, regardless of whether we win or lose. At times we had to put up with insults from so-called supporters, and we were also involved “We may not be at the top of the table at the moment, but we are certainly first in the resistance table,” said Max Senft proud of his team after the final whistle.

And the lead in the sporting table is now within reach again: Because leader Admira lost 1:3 to the amateurs of Sturm Graz, the Innviertel team reduced the gap to two points before the direct duel with the Lower Austrians on Friday. A real top game awaits – but not one in which a decision will be made. Senft: “There are still 18 rounds to play after that.”

The personnel situation could look better again on Friday: With the exception of Saliou Sane, there is a chance that all of the other players will be fit in time.
