Claims that the country’s citizens were shot by their own soldiers could have arisen due to Carnage at Supernova Music Festival which was held at Kibbutz Reim near the Gaza Strip. The date of the festival coincided with the Jewish religious holiday of Sukkot.
At the two-day percussion music festival which was called on the occasion of “friends, love and infinite freedom”, about 3,500 people participated.
Hamas fighters, who unexpectedly attacked Israel, broke into the festival area and started shooting at the crowd.
