Islamabad police vehicles reached Attock Jail for the appearance of Chairman PTI Imran Khan in the illegal marriage case.
Islamabad police vehicles and armored personnel carriers are outside Attock Jail to pick up the PTI chairman, and consultations are underway for a final decision on Imran Khan’s appearance.
Earlier, the Superintendent of Attock Jail had written a letter to Civil Judge Qudratullah saying that it is a security risk to bring Chairman PTI to appear, he should be exempted from attendance today. Any untoward incident can happen in the journey from Attock to Islamabad.
It was also written in the letter from the jail superintendent that the trial of the cipher case is also going on inside the Attock jail, keeping in mind the security issues, further hearing should be decided.
However, now the vehicles of Islamabad Police have reached Attock Jail to pick up Chairman PTI, where consultation is going on for the final decision regarding his appearance in Civil Court of Islamabad.
It should be noted that Imran Khan was imprisoned in Attock Jail after serving 3 years of imprisonment in the Tosha Khana criminal case. The verdict in this case was delivered on August 5 by District and Sessions Court Judge Humayun Dilawar.
However, later the Islamabad High Court suspended the punishment of Chairman PTI.
At present, Imran Khan is imprisoned in Attock jail on judicial remand in the cipher case, where the FI is investigating him.
