Army Chief observes region’s largest air exercise, expresses satisfaction over Air Force’s combat readiness – Pakistan

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited the operational air base of Pakistan Air Force where he observed the multinational exercise Indus Shield 2024 and expressed his satisfaction over the combat readiness of Pakistan Air Force while the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan Army highlighted the important role of inter-service cooperation. Emphasized that inter-service cooperation is essential to achieve any operational success.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the Army Chief visited the operational air base of the Pakistan Air Force, where General Syed Asim Munir witnessed the multinational exercise Indus Shield 2024.

On this occasion, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sindhu welcomed Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir while Chief of Pakistan Navy Admiral Naveed Ashraf was also present.

According to the ISPR, Exercise Indus Shield 2024 is the largest multi-national exercise in the region, involving 24 air force units, during which the participating forces are under the motto “Together We Are Strong” under state-of-the-art facilities. Striving to promote interoperability and training.

On this occasion, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir expressed his satisfaction over the progress made on various programs of combat readiness, innovation and upgrading of Pakistan Air Force.

The Army Chief said that various operations of the exercises, including aerial demonstrations and implementation of various issues through advanced technologies, were observed.

General Syed Asim Munir was informed about the efforts of Pakistan Air Force to tackle the security challenges faced by it.

On this occasion, Pakistan Air Force fighter jets performed spectacular aerial stunts, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir also interacted with the air crew and appreciated the determination of Pakistan Air Force personnel to protect the air borders of Pakistan.

Chief of Pakistan Army General Asim Munir emphasized the important role of inter-service cooperation and declared that mutual cooperation is very important for achieving operational success.

The Pakistan Air Force Chief thanked the Army Chief for his visit and reiterated his commitment to enhance cooperation between the Army and the Air Force both in terms of training and operational.

The Air Chief Marshal also highlighted the efforts to induct the latest weapon systems to the Army Chief.

The Chief of the Pakistan Air Force said that the ongoing exercise Indus Shield 2024 will play an important role in promoting mutual cooperation between the participating countries and provide an opportunity to train air and ground personnel to face contemporary combat challenges.
