Director Hanung Bramantyo’s latest FILM premiered at Jakarta Film Week (JFW) 2024, Saturday (26/10). Three of the film’s actors, Refal Hady, Rangga Natra and Carmela, also watched the film screening at JFW 2024.

The cast is enthusiastic because this film can finally be seen by the audience, especially as long as their film gets a direct response from the audience. Hanung Bramantyo said that he never intended for his film to have a special screening like at JFW 2024. He used this moment to see the audience’s response to his latest work.

“I never expected this film to enter the festival. But yesterday I emailed, saying it would be really exciting to play at JFW,” said Hanung Bramantyo at CGV Grand Indonesia, Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Saturday (26/10).

Meanwhile, Refal Hady, who plays Daku in Love is Never on Time, was quite happy to see the response from the audience.

“The reaction is really mixed, after being given something fun suddenly has a lot of meaning like that,” said Refal.

Refal admitted that there are several things about Daku’s character that are similar to him in real life. So it was not difficult for him to deepen the role.

“Is it related to being asked when you’re getting married? Hahaha,” said Refal, laughing.

“There’s a lot of pressure, it’s the same. It’s just that the way of life is a little different,” he continued.

At JFW, tickets for the premiere of the film Cinta Never On Time sold out in just two minutes on the Tix.id application.

The film Love is Never on Time tells the story of the adventures of a talented young writer named Daku Ramala (Refal Hady) who is asked two important questions in his life, regarding time. First, when should he start writing his debut novel after so many years of being trapped in writing orders from publishers. Second, when will he have to take love seriously as his mother hopes.

The first question was very easy for Daku to answer. However, the second question was so difficult for him that he had difficulty starting to write his debut work.

Even though Daku is not the single type who finds it difficult to find a girlfriend. His first girlfriend was named Nadya (Nadya Arina), a woman who was not only beautiful, but also loyal and really understood him. Daku and Nadya have been in a relationship for five years. However, the relationship had no signs of leading to marriage and finally ended.

Not even a month later, Daku met Anya (Carissa Perusset), an independent and free woman. Once again, the relationship failed because Anya also wanted Daku to be serious, namely to get married.

Meanwhile, for Daku, love is a sacred feeling that cannot be bound by anything. Finally, Daku met Sarah (Amirah Filzah), Daku’s mother’s personal doctor, who is very close to Daku’s family. (M-4)
