The Chinese company has copied something from its sister OnePlus, namely the slider. This slider is a physical button that you can set to three positions and is used to provide the phone with a different sound profile: silent, vibrate or sound on. OPPO now has that too. In addition, there is a Quick Button for the camera, with which you can both start the camera and take a photo. It is also possible to zoom in with it.
A quartet of cameras
The cameras are a quartet: there are four sensors of 50 megapixels each: a main camera, a wide-angle lens and two zoom lenses that bring the image 3 times closer and one that brings the image six times closer. If you want to zoom in even further, this can also be achieved with AI. OPPO also works with Hasselblad, so the device should be fine in terms of photography.

The AI is able to, among other things, remove reflections from photos, sharpen old photos and create summaries of texts. OPPO Find It can also process the AI better (35 percent better, OPPO claims). Furthermore, the device has an IP68 certification and has stereo speakers. The battery is 5910 mAh and would charge at 80 Watts (wired) and 50 Watts if you charge wirelessly. OPPO Find X8 Pro seems to have a strange name: why not just Find X8 Pro? This has everything to do with the other markets that OPPO operates. There is a Find X8 available there. That device has a smaller screen at 6.59 inches and has three 50 megapixel cameras at the rear. The camera button is also not there on the regular Find X8.
OPPO Find X8 Pro will appear in the Netherlands, but the date is still unknown. The device is available in black, white and blue. The ColorOS software shell is present and is based on Android 15. The variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage memory costs approximately 700 euros in China, the version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage memory costs 890 euros there. This will undoubtedly be considerably higher for a European release, but OPPO is not making any statements about this at the moment.
