José Trinidad Fernández, which corresponded to what was experienced last October 24, in the Temple of San Rafael Arcángel de Carvajal, where the parishioners came en masse to accompany their Patron; to the Patron of Marriages, Travelers and “of the sick, of hospitals, for being the angel that brings the healing energy of God… When God is my strength, he is my salvation.”
The Father also referred to the goodness of the Angel. Rubén Gregorio Delgado, vicar and rector of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Diocesan Seminary, who presided over the Solemnity held in the morning; while the Bishop of Trujillo presided at 6 p.m.
They accompanied the celebrants and Fr. Miguel Ángel Castellanos, host parish priest, the priests of the Pastoral Zone of Carvajal, the priests Luis Bolívar, Jesús Quintero, José Luis Nava (Arciprest); Deacon, Seminarians, Ministers and other servants of the Altar.
The first Solemnity was attended by Municipal and government authorities and representatives of different public institutions, as well as private ones, affiliated with Acoinca and individuals who shared their kindness towards their neighbors. In the afternoon the members of the Parish Apostolate groups. Together with them, the devotees, the people of God who in prayer express their gratitude to Saint Raphael the Archangel.

Mons. José Trinidad Fernández: Certainly. Faith creates a bond among believers and fosters a sense of belonging. When we trust in God, we discover that we are never truly alone; God is our strength and salvation. During the Solemnity of San Rafael, many expressed their heartfelt prayers and petitions, reinforcing their connection with the divine. It is essential for everyone to know that they can turn to God amidst their struggles.
Interviewer: The event was attended by several community leaders and representatives from various organizations. How important is their participation in such celebrations?
Mons. José Trinidad Fernández: Their presence is incredibly important. It symbolizes the unity between faith and community development. When local authorities and organizations engage with the church and its activities, it fosters a spirit of collaboration and support for the common good. It allows us to witness the caring side of our society, where everyone comes together in service to others, especially the sick and those in need, as Saint Raphael embodies healing and compassion.

Mons. José Trinidad Fernández: San Rafael is a figure of healing and guidance. He offers protection for those embarking on journeys, whether they be physical or spiritual. In marriages, his intercession helps couples nurture their relationships with love and understanding. Additionally, as the patron of the sick, he represents hope and healing, a reminder that God’s love and mercy are ever-present, especially for those who are suffering. This connection to families and individuals highlights the angel’s role in promoting peace and wellness in our community.
