According to Indian media reports, a case has been filed against choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife by a dance troupe in Maharashtra for defrauding them of Rs 11.96 crore (about Rs 12 crore), police said on Saturday. A case was also registered against individuals.
A complaint filed by the 26-year-old dancer was registered at the Mira Road police station on October 16 against Remo’s wife and five others under sections 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating) and various sections of the Indian Penal Code, a police official said. A case was registered under the provisions.
Details recorded in the said FI stated that the complainant and his group were allegedly defrauded between 2018 and July 2024.
