Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) officially launched its asphalt plant in the Minga Guazú district, marking an important milestone in the development of road infrastructure in the department of Alto Paraná.

During his day of government in this area of ​​the country, the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Claudia Centurión, and Governor César Torres, received a detailed report on the technical capabilities of the facility, which It has a production of 80 tons of asphalt per hour.

The mobile plant, moved from María Auxiliadora, Itapúa, represents a strategic solution to meet the road needs of the region. This equipment will make it possible to respond to both large road projects and minor works that are essential for the quality of life of citizens.

The head of state highlighted the importance of this reactivation: “This is part of a commitment we had made. “It’s not just about the big road works, but also the small ones that transform people’s lives.” Peña also expressed his expectation that, with the support of Itaipu, the plant can operate 24 hours a day.

Faster response to needs

Minister Centurión emphasized that this initiative will allow a more agile response to the needs of the department, considered the economic lung of the country.

“This plant will allow those most vulnerable people in Alto Paraná, those who did not receive asphalt and who are in cobblestone or dirt areas, to have their streets improved,” he highlighted.

The plant has complete equipment that includes dump trucks, graders and backhoes, which will significantly strengthen the development of infrastructure in the 22 municipalities of the department.

This reactivation marks an important step with the development of road infrastructure in Alto Paraná and promises to significantly improve the response capacity to paving needs in the region, the MOPC reported.
