The new edition of the Winamax Poker Tour, the largest free live poker circuit in France, will kick off this weekend. And for the first time in the history of the event, it is Lille which will launch this WPT 2025.
The previous edition has just ended (a record edition with 3,488 participants gathered in Paris which saw the victory of Jérémy Cauchard), the Winamax Poker Tour is already back. This weekend (October 26 and 27), the Winamax Poker Tour 2025 will kick off, and it is already agreed that this new opus will be a milestone. It is in fact from Lille (and the Grand Palais), which had never hosted the launch of the event even though the city is one of the strongholds of French poker, that everything will start this year. A great first in the history of the WPT, the largest free live poker circuit in France. More than 1,500 players, previously qualified online, are expected from Saturday in the capital of Flanders. But they will not be alone, since there will also be present on Saturday and Sunday at the Grand Palais in Lille many “WIPs” from sport, TV and music as well as the Winamax Pro Team, some members of which are part of the world poker elite.
A tour of France before the grand final in Aix-en-Provence
As for the other stages of the Winamax Poker Tour, the weekend’s qualifiers (Editor’s note: 31 players will validate their ticket) will have the privilege of playing in the grand final next March in Aix-en-Provence, where the winner will be designated best player. from France. Like Marseille, which hosted the inaugural stage in 2024, Lille will give the start of a four-month, ten-stage tour of France, with Limoges to start, then Montpellier, Paris, Lyon, Dijon, Rennes, Nice, Strasbourg and finally Bordeaux. With the same objective for all players: to be present in Aix-en-Provence in March 2025 for the grand final.
