Editor: Welcome, Ali Raza! Congratulations on your rising fame from the drama serial ‘Noor Jahan.’ It seems like exciting opportunities are coming your way. Can you tell us about the significant offer you received from Yash Raj Films?
Ali Raza: Thank you! Yes, it’s been quite a journey. I received a message on Instagram from Shamoon Madam, the casting director at Yash Raj. They were interested in casting me in a feature film, which was a surprise because I hadn’t anticipated such a significant opportunity.
Editor: That’s amazing! It’s impressive that a major production house like Yash Raj, known for its blockbuster films, took notice of you. Did you have any idea that they might not be aware of your background?
Ali Raza: Not at all! When the message came through, I was focused on the opportunity itself rather than the details. It was only later that I learned they didn’t know I was Pakistani. It surprised me, but that only highlights how talent can transcend borders.
Editor: What was the next step after you received that initial offer?
Ali Raza: They sent me a monologue from ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,’ which features big stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. It was exciting but also nerve-wracking. They asked me to record my interpretation of it, which I did with great enthusiasm.
Editor: How do you feel about crossing over into Bollywood, and what does it mean for you as a Pakistani actor?
