More than 100 people receive certificates of competency and job training in San Bernardino

Asunción, IP Agency.- The National System of Labor Training and Training (Sinafocal) and the National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur) delivered 131 certificates of competence to empirical workers who are already working and to people who were trained as “home electrician”, “plumber” and “promoter”. tourist”.

They are part of the group of 186 courses taught throughout the country, awarded through National Public Tender “Job Training Courses – Multi-year”.

The event took place in the Municipality of San Bernardino, with the presence of the local municipal mayor Emigdio Ruiz Díaz and the technical secretary of Sinafocal, Alfredo Mongelós, as part of the Summer 2024 Employment Plan launched by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security and the Municipality of San Bernardino.

During the day, work kits were also delivered to beneficiaries of the “Home Electrician”, “Plumber” and “Local Tourist Promoter” courses.

The waiters who received their certificates were evaluated at the “Tatanos Posada Boutique” and “Don Pappalo Resort Hotel” restaurants in San Bernardino. Graduates of the “Home Electrician”, “Plumber” and “Local Tourist Promoter” training courses will receive their work kits.

The plumbers’ kits include a tap set, wrench, pressure pliers, screwdrivers, tape, press, adhesive, bow and saw, hammer, iron cutter and tool box.

Home electricians received gloves, a pole finder, a multitester, a drill, tweezers, tape, screwdrivers and a tool box; while the graduates of the local tourism promoter course brought instructional material, a manual of tourist places in Paraguay, a notebook, a cloth pencil case, a tourist pad, an agenda, an identification card and a T-shirt.

The evaluation for the certification of skills of waiters is supported by Sinafocal and validates the skills acquired by workers, either through empirical experience or training, thus strengthening the National Skills Certification Model of Paraguay promoted by the National Qualifications System Professionals, in alliance with the Ministry of Education and Sciences and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.

Mónica Segovia, tourism chief of Senatur, also participated in the event; Viviana Oviedo, Cordillera Regional Director of the Ministry of Labor; Marcela Villasanti, training director of the tourism sector; José Rolón, manager of Don Papalo Resort and Javier Sánchez, head waiter at Tatano Posada Boutique among other guests.
