Harvey Moeis’ WIFE, Sandra Dewi, revealed that the money sent from her husband worth IDR 3.15 billion was used to pay the house installments. This answered the prosecutor’s question in the trial of the corruption case at the PT Timah IUP which ensnared her husband.
The public prosecutor (JPU) initially asked whether Sandra had ever received a transfer of IDR 3.15 billion from Harvey Moeis. The money in question was transferred from the account of PT Quantum Skyline Exchange (QSE), the defendant Helena Lim’s money exchange place, in 2019.
Answering this question, Sandra confirmed the transfer of funds. However, she explained that the money was related to house matters, which was the result of a transfer from her husband.
“That was for household matters, never,” answered Sandra in the court quoted on Wednesday (23/10).
When asked further, Sandra admitted that her husband made the transfer. The transferred funds were used to pay off the house installments for which Sandra Dewi had already paid the down payment.
“My husband paid in installments, part of the house because I paid the down payment. Then the rest was my husband who paid in installments and Rp. 3.15 billion was a partial repayment. The final repayment,” he continued.
In the midst of the prosecutor’s criticism of Sandra Dewi, the trial judge interrupted by saying that the prosecutor’s question had already been answered in the previous trial.
“That was stated at the previous trial,” said the judge.
Both Sandra and the prosecutor then approached the judge to match the transfer evidence that the prosecutor had and became a polemic for the trial. The transfer evidence presented by the prosecutor before the judge showed that there had been a transfer of funds on June 21 2018, with a total of three transactions covering IDR 1.05 billion, IDR 1 billion and IDR 100 million.
“The nominal value is the same as mentioned earlier?” the judge asked
“Same, that’s right,” answered Sandra.
The prosecutor also touched on the transfer made by Sandra Dewi to another party. The other party in question is Anggraeni. Sandra admitted that it was true that she had transferred IDR 10 billion in funds to Anggraeni, Commissioner of PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT) and wife of Suparta, President Director of PT RBT.
PT RBT is the company represented by Sandra Dewi’s husband, Harvey Moeis, in the alleged corruption case in the tin sector.
However, Sandra Dewi emphasized that the IDR 10 billion transfer was her personal loan to Anggraeni. He also emphasized that these funds were not related to the Rp. 3.15 billion house settlement funds transferred by Harvey Moeis.
Strengthening Sandra Dewi’s argument, on this occasion, Sandra’s attorney added that the debt of IDR 10 billion occurred in 2019, while the transfer of IDR 3.15 billion discussed in this trial occurred in 2018.
“The debt (Rp. 10 billion to Angraeni) is 2019. (Meanwhile) the money (Rp. 3.15 billion) is in 2018,” explained attorney Sandra Dewi, adding. (P-5)
