The world-renowned Sudanese reciter Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq, who won many recitation competitions, died in a traffic accident along with 3 other Hafiz Quran reciters.
Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq was famous for his unique recitations all over the world and especially in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia and his recitations are listened to with great devotion.
Sheikh Nureen Muhammad was more famous for his ancient recitation of ‘Al-Duri‘, a style of recitation of the Holy Quran introduced by the renowned Iraqi scholar and reciter Abu Amr Hafs Ibn Umar, Ibn Abdul Aziz Baghdadi in 150 AH.
The recitation of Shaykh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq is not only heard by Muslims around the world in the form of audio and video at home, but his recitation is also heard while traveling in vehicles, cars and other forms of transport.
Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq has participated in Hasan Qaraat competitions in Dubai, Malaysia and Indonesia among other Middle East countries and won many competitions.
He was considered among the most influential figures in Sudan, an African country in the Middle East.
Al-Jazeera, the Arab broadcaster, said in its report that Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq was involved in a traffic accident near the capital Khartoum on November 6 and died along with three other companions.

The Minister of Culture of Sudan also confirmed the death of Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddique in a road accident and said that three other people also died including him.
Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq was traveling along with 4 other Hafiz Qur’an companions and the accident was so dangerous that the renowned reciter died along with 3 companions.
The person injured in the accident is undergoing treatment, but his condition is also being reported as critical.
The fans of Sheikh Noreen Muhammad Siddiq also expressed deep sorrow on the Facebook page created in his name confirming his death.
