The best B2B Brand of the Year is chosen between Cegeka, Medialife and again Cyclis Bike Lease. Finally, one of those present on Marcom Day will take home the Limburg Press Award: Biesmans Group (Tectum), Trixxo or Vandersanden? We will know more on November 21…

Voka Limburg and its network Marcom announce the nominees of the MarCom Awards 2024. They are all Limburg organizations with passionate marketers and communication professionals who put their best foot forward every day.

From the long list of nominees, the jury chose 3 nominees for the category ‘Limburg Marketing Campaign of the Year’ based on the creative concept, effectiveness of the campaign and social relevance. It goes between:

• Cyclis Bike Lease: ‘That’s why I’m leasing’
This campaign is the result of a collaboration between three Limburg companies: Cyclis Bike Lease, RCA and Medialife. With a recognizable cover of the song “Easy” by The Commodores, linked to the convenience of bicycle leasing, the bicycle leasing company from Hasselt has uniquely put the benefits of its services in the spotlight and shown how simple and carefree bicycle leasing can be.

• STVV: ‘Forever’
With this campaign, the Truiense football club wants to create a broad social impact on the occasion of its 100th anniversary. For example, the club rolled out a creative concept for a season that transcended football and was taken into account in schools, associations and local businesses in the city. In this way, the campaign has contributed to the image of STVV as a historic family club.

• Visit Limburg: ‘Limburg just a little more surprising’

Making Limburg top of mind as a holiday destination. That was Visit Limburg’s goal with this campaign. By using a well-known Limburg ambassador, Matteo Simoni, in combination with a surprising and creative campaign with an emphasis on the beautiful Limburg landscapes, Visit Limburg seems to have more than succeeded in its aim.

A second prize, the one for Limburg B2B Brand of the Year, will be awarded on November 21 to the brand that has distinguished itself over the past year through its strong position in the business market. To determine the nominees, the jury focused on the USP, innovative marketing, brand awareness and positioning in the Limburg B2B landscape. All this led to the selection of:

• Cegeka
Cegeka is an ambitious IT brand that shapes the digital future together with its customers. Since 1992, it has grown from a Limburg start-up, founded in the Kempen coal mines, into a major international player, always with an eye for sustainability and innovation.

• Cyclis Bike Lease
Cyclis Bike Lease is the Limburg pioneer in bicycle leasing in Belgium and is committed to the well-being of more than 40,000 cyclists every day, and to taking care of its customers and dealers. As the market leader in Belgium, they are permanently committed to cycling fun and contribute to a strong and sustainable mobility policy in Limburg and beyond.

• Medialife
Over the past 15 years, Medialife has grown into a leading multimedia production house. As a brand, they stand for innovation, creativity and customization, with a strong focus on sustainability and inclusion. Whether it concerns company reports, commercials, live streams or motion graphics, Medialife thinks beyond just ‘making a video’.

And then also… The Limburg Press Prize

Since 1997, Voka has been rewarding Limburg companies and institutions for their clear, fast and accurate (press) communication. Important elements for the jury to determine the nominees are: accessibility, news value, social relevance, creativity and ownership. And the contenders are….

• Biesmans Group

The Genk roofing group Tectum achieved a nice milestone this year with a turnover increase of 14%, good for a total of a quarter of a billion euros. The company also attracted attention in the past year with various acquisitions and innovative roof projects. To further realize growth, the parent holding company will continue under the name Biesmans Group.

• Trixxo
The service voucher and temporary employment company continued its expansion outside Limburg this year and managed to communicate about this successfully. The organization also took responsibility for the shift in the service voucher landscape and provided a socially relevant voice in the debate.

• Vandersanden
The brickmaker from Bilzen further emphasized his sustainability story this year by opening a new factory in Dilsen-Stokkem for the production of CO2-neutral bricks. The company is not only an established name in the entrepreneurial world, but certainly also within the (Limburg) media landscape.

Nine nominees, three main prizes… that is the battle that will be settled on November 21 during the Voka Day of the Marcom. If you bump into a jury member, be sure to whisper your favorite in his ear!
