HarmonyOS Next is also a transition to implementing Huawei devices with a completely internal operating system.
HarmonyOS Next will run Huawei devices available in China. For the global version, Huawei has not announced when HarmonyOS Next will be available.
Quoted from GSM Arena, the basis of HarmonyOS Next is the open source tool OpenHarmony which was developed independently by Huawei. This operating system supports applications through the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) ecosystem.

Global Times reported that there are 6.75 million developers who have registered as application developers for HarmonyOS.

There are several artificial intelligence (AI) features available on the deck and it is supported by Pangu’s large model-based (LLM) system.
Huawei also claims its latest operating system can save up to 20% power. Transferring a 1.2GB file between HarmonyOS Next devices is said to be as fast as 8 seconds.
There are also various security features within the ‘Star Shield’ architecture.
Some of the list of Huawei devices in China that can already try HarmonyOS Next are the Pura 70 series, Huawei Pocket 2, and MatePad Pro 11 (2024).
For your information, Huawei began developing its operating system independently after receiving trade sanctions from the United States (US) in 2019. Since then, all Huawei devices can no longer use the Android operating system.

Talk about being environmentally friendly while you binge-watch your guilty pleasure shows!
The Cheeky Conclusion
Huawei is plowing forward, full steam ahead, flaunting its achievements like a peacock—and why shouldn’t it? With the HarmonyOS Next, they’re not just throwing together some code and calling it a day; they’re crafting an elaborate ecosystem that could rival the best of them! But the elephant in the room remains: will it really stand on an international stage, or is it simply destined to be the wallflower of the operating system ball?
One thing’s for sure though—data protection might still be a PR issue (as suggested by their recent article), but if Huawei’s HarmonyOS Next manages to charm the masses, they may just find plenty of fans eager to dance along with them!
